Claire MASETTY was sworn in as a member of the Paris Bar in January 2010, after obtaining a DEA (post-graduate diploma) in “Private International Law and International Trade Law” (DEA “Droit international privé et du commerce international”) from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a Master’s degree in “Criminal Law and Criminal Policy in Europe” (Master II “Droit penal et politiques criminelles en Europe”) from the same university. She is also a graduate of the Institut of Advanced International Studies (Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales) of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas (IHEI) and of the School of criminal defense (Ecole de la Défense Pénale).

She specializes in family law, private international law and criminal law, which allows her to assist her clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, pre and post nuptial agreements and financial settlements in cases involving high net worth and complex international property and estate structures. She also has a particular expertise in complicated children arrangements, especially those with an international element.

Having joined Cabinet BOURSICAN in 2008, after a first experience in a family law firm in SAINT-BARTHELEMY (French West Indies), she became partner of the firm in January 2018, in light of her experience and her expertise in both amicable and contentious proceedings.

She is a highly technical expert and is frequently invited to speak at family law conferences, in particular within the Family Commissions of the PARIS Bar Association. She is also a member of the Institute of Family and Estate Law (IDFP “Institut du Droit de la Famille et du Patrimoine”).
